Aaron wants to represent the people of Newcastle on behalf of the Australian Democrats because since federation we have been locked into the ways of one political party.
Our five sitting members in 106 years have been "installed" into one of the safest seats in the land and told to sit down and shut up, never being given the privilege to speak out against their party line, let alone vote in parliament on behalf of their conscience or their constituents.
The Australian Democrats is the only political party that allows its members to speak on behalf of "the people", not "the party" and is not beholden to big business, big unions, religious organizations or environmental extremists.
Voting for The Australian Democrats at this Federal election is the only way we can break this mould and allow Newcastle to have a strong and balanced voice in Canberra.
