Jeffrey Gabriel is a 24 year old graduate solicitor from Stanmore. The youngest of triplets born to Portuguese migrants, he has been a resident of Grayndler his entire life and was educated locally.
Jeffrey is very active in his local community. For the past four years, Jeffrey has served on the Board of the Newtown Jets, Australia's oldest Rugby League club. Until recently, Jeffrey was a member of the Dulwich Hill Conference of the St Vincent De Paul Society and for six years he was a volunteer at Kids Help Line's fundraising events.
Jeffrey is running for the seat of Grayndler because he believes both Labor and the Coalition are more concerned with themselves than the people they are supposed to govern. Jeffrey was drawn to the Democrats by their progressive ideas and their hard work in the Parliament, where they challenge the whims of governments from both sides of politics to produce better outcomes for Australians.
Issues that concern Jeffrey include the environment, health, the economy, workplace relations, housing affordability, education, discrimination and Australia's role in the global community.
